Update #4

Lions and Tigers and Bears - oh my!!
Oh.....and dinosaurs....

Saryn didn't react well to the dinosaur park when we went to the Calgary Zoo there over labour day weekend. We were walking in the dinosaur park and she was looking at the map (a weird quirk our kids seem to love to do). She decided to look up and the first thing she saw was a triceratops staring straight at her....You can't blame the girl for being startled.

Granted, this isn't a great picture....but it represents my girls so well. This, for those of you who know the Calgary Zoo well, isn't in the dinosaur park, but on the other side just by itself. I told the girls to go and stand by it for a picture. This was their reaction.....
You can see that Saryn is still terrified...hands on her cheeks and all. Kaia, obviously, seems a little apprehensive and is stalling....but she's getting there. Kienna is already sitting on the grass by the foot of the dinosaur waiting for the other two....

Then, when Kaia finally got there....

The elephants were a bigger hit.
Kaia, Kienna and Saryn all loved them.

We found these beautiful gardens by the butterfly emporium and just had to take a few pictures of the girls and our little family...

Then after the family pictures and we were all done looking at the animals, we went to the park. Saryn could have lived in this tunnel.....
Kienna took so long to decide to go down this slide....it was just too dark. But she did it and was so proud that we just had to take a picture.....so here she is in the mouth of the caterpillar.

Of course, after a long day at the zoo.....everyone needs a good ice cream sandwich.
Kienna has always had miraculous results with those.....
What a fun day - thanks Gran and Grandpa!!

Ash, that first picture of Saryn seeing the dinosaurs is priceless! What a face to pull. Also like the reaction to the other dino of all three girls. And Kienna makes an amazing impression of T Rex eating chocolate!

Too fun! That's so funny they were so scared! I'm glad you had a great day! I can't wait to hear about your new baby making a grand appearance!

It looks as though you all had a fun time! I'm surprised you went with you being so close to your due date! Walking always puts me into labour!!
