A Lot Like Dad

I think that it's easier to see your husband in your kids than yourself, on Thursday this was VERY much the case.  I had been cleaning the bathrooms and rotating laundry while the kids had some quiet time.  This is how I found them.

Just sitting on my bed, Saryn on Kaia's DSi, Jaymeson on my iTouch.

Benson was in his bassinet right next to them - of course, when he woke up, Jaymeson had to say hi.  (Jaymeson says hi to Benson over and over again until I take Bensons hand and wave back saying, "Hi Jay!")

Yep, my kids, like their father, LOVE their electronics.  In fact, Jaymeson has been walking around the house holding this "Poke-Walker" repeating over and over again, "So Cool!!"

Now, not only has Jarett's love of  "cool" electronics been passed on, but his way of relaxing.  Very few of you could fully appreciate these pictures without further explaining, but Jarett actually sleeps with his legs like this...

It really is fun to see the random things that come up.  I still can't believe how much all of my kids lie down like this.  What will I see next?

My House this Week

It's been a party.  It started with Kienna (as it always does) and has spread like wild fire.  I think this pictures sums it up:

Fevers of 104, croupy coughs, throwing up, headaches, dizziness.... somehow Saryn has escaped the madness, we'll keep our fingers crossed.  Benson has scared me a few times, but we seem to be heading towards recovery...

If you ask me to babysit...

and you have a particularly cute little baby, I might take some pictures...

especially if I happen to have a baby about the same age.

I have thoroughly enjoyed having Hayley and Macy around after Christmas and be able to get these little guys friendship started.  Sad that she had to go back to Provo, but really hoping that she makes it up to Calgary in April to stay!!  Thanks for letting me babysit Macy, and I hope to be able to many more times!

A Wiggly Family Night

Although many of our FHE's really could be described as "Wiggly", this one was actually pretty good with the kids sitting still - all on Jarett.

Of course, after the lesson (on baptism because Kaia was turning eight later this week), the kids needed a great activity.  What else would unite a family in ridiculous amounts of fun than our favorite:  The Wiggles!!

I LOVE watching my kids playing and being silly with their Dad, there's just nothing better to me.  Thought you might enjoy a few "snapshots" of them all dancing together.

Benson really enjoyed watching them too!

At the end of the night, Benson put on his own show and showed us how high he can lift his head.  Not even 2 months (this was on Jan 17) and I think he's doing quite well!

Cahoon Family - Party Crashers

Yep - my family is pure class... we crash PRIMARY PARTIES!!  Sundance and Midnapore Wards got together and decided to rent out the Okotoks Pool.  Since both of our parents are in Sundance and Jarett has a sister in each of those wards, we felt entitled (well, and they invited us) to go and crash.  And BOY did we have a blast!!  Saryn was so happy to play just by herself in the shallow end while Kaia and Kienna went off the crazy deep-end slide over and over again.  Jaymeson chickened out (he's been getting a little nervous of heights recently, but apparently it extends to swimming pools) and just clung to Jarett and ended up staying in/on the edge of the Hot Tub for the majority of the time.  I visited with the other ladies that were kicking it on the sidelines and took care of Benson.  We're going to have to make it a tradition to crash more parties - we sure had a riot!

My Boys "Connection"

It's been fun to see how excited Jaymeson is to have a brother.  He clearly can't wait to have a playmate.  Today, while I was holding Benson, Jaymeson came up and began to put the checkers from our Connect 4 game into Bensons hands saying, "Here oo go, Baby".  Then he'd say, "Thank you, Benson" and take it and put it into the gameboard.  He did this over and over again, completely happy for such a long time.  I can't wait for these boys to grow up and be playmates all day long.
