A VERY long weekend

This weekend we were recruited to Calgary to help Jarett's sister, Erin, make her house become livable. The men were hard at work fixing fences (digging them up and replacing them), organizing garages, sheds, doing yardwork, fixing roofs and other parts of the house. The women were busy prepping, sanding, cutting and painting each room. There was also a lot of organizing and putting back together of rooms. There was also someone doing wiring in the kitchen in hopes that Erin could have a microwave, dishwasher and other such luxuries. Anyway, so that these people could work so hard and get so much done, SOMEONE had to watch all the grandkids (twelve in total) while the parents were away. Since I cannot lift anything heavy and I can't be around painting fumes etc., I was put in the babysitting department. Being trigger happy on the camera, I took over 200 pictures in just 2 days, but I think some of them turned out really cute. I'm going to try to include at least 1 picture of each of the kids. There were some kids who were much more cooperative than others. Oh, and to explain what happened to Saryn and Kienna's faces......
Saryn fell down Granni's cement step in the backyard and smacked it really nicely. Kienna was bitten by a mosquito pretty close to her hair line, but she's very reactive to mosquito bites and, therefore, looks like Quasimoto. She also was stung by a bee on her arm, sprayed in her ear with water (remember she has ear tubes) and was still dealing with her broken collarbone. What a wreck. Anyway.....here are the pictures.

Granni's dream backyard. Yes, that is an inflatable waterslide with a slip-n-slide underneath it.

The other half of the backyard has that dream swing set from Costco. What's really dazzling is that I'm not even showing the back 3rd of the backyard because I'm standing on the edge of the huge vegetable garden at the back. I'm on the trampoline at the edge there.

Aunty Lella painting all the girls nails. They had a blast. Levi was sad that he wasn't included and so he got his nails painted. While he was there, Tyrus said, "What are you doing there? That's a GIRLS table!"

Enoch playing with Spiderman - the usual.

The three summer of 2006 babies: Enoch, Saryn and Kindred.

Saryn would not leave this house. She was in heaven.

Marvel and Taysia - the oldest grandkids.

Levi mowing the lawn. He mostly was watching movies, but came out periodically and did some chores.....haha. He also enjoyed the slide.

Kaia was in heaven with all these older girls painting her nails and playing with her.

Kienna playing in the slip-n-slide. She was so happy to be outside so much, even with all the bites and injuries.

Kindred wouldn't let me put her down for so long. But she's SO cute.

Tyrus might be the hardest kid to take a picture of. This is the most stationary picture I got of him. He just was constantly moving.

These girls were always playing with their barbies. They are SUCH girls!!

Marvel going down the slide.

Taysia flying down the slide too.

The little bathing princesses: Kindred and Saryn.

Tyrus and Levi. The boys showing us how different boys and girls are.

Levi watching a movie and so sweet.

Lander snuggling with Saryn watching a show.

Kienna, Kaia and Jasper on the tire swing under the swing set.

Saryn on the swing set. She just LOVED being outside.

Jarett and Kienna watching a play put on by the older grandkids.

Kindred experimenting with the dressups.

Kaia and Kienna in the play.

Kindred after the play showing us her hippy dance. . . in the perfect costume.

Sorry there are so many, but it was really hard to cut it down to these few.
